Director's Statement

I began to work on I Did, the second part of a trilogy of short films, after completing my MFA in Film. ‘Gun Violence’ is the main theme. Inspired by the true story of a brave woman who was let down by her city when she tried to turn in her husband's gun to save her family, and no one took action to help her. I created a fictional narrative drama that portrays through the confrontation of its protagonist and antagonist, the two sides of this modern social epidemic. A tragic ending, the irrational standardized state we find ourselves in.

Category: Drama.
