In a chance encounter on Grindr, a reclusive barman at an Arkansas line-dancing bar connects with a charismatic Hollywood actor. The sheer force of their chemistry pushes him to question the isolated life he has built for himself- and embrace the transformative power of intimacy and vulnerability.
Director's Statement
Our short tells the story of a Grindr encounter between a lonely Arkansas barman, and a Puerto Rican actor - who is filming on location in the nearby mountains. This story grew out of the particular mix of longing and loneliness I experienced after leaving my partner in London, UK, to attend film school in LA. Ultimately the intention was to create a bittersweet but heartfelt love letter to the healing power of vulnerability. One that feels intimately real throughout.
Themes: LGBTQIA, Relationships.
