After the Los Angeles wildfires leave thousands of homes contaminated with toxic ash, residents face an impossible choice: should they risk their health to return home?
Director's Statement
We live in L.A., a 20 minute drive from Altadena, one of the communities that burned about a year ago in the wildfires. Still Standing looks at what happens when intimate spaces turn alien and hazardous, and residents confront a horrible choice: should they risk their health to return home? We made this film to document a loss that felt almost invisible. Over a year since the fires, many people with standing homes are still in limbo. We hope you come see it.
