Six wealthy friends retreat to a remote castle to celebrate a birthday. The mood is cheerful and carefree—until masked, armed intruders storm the building. Panic erupts as the group flees through dark corridors, hunted by an unknown force. These attackers are no ordinary criminals. They have a political agenda. But the seemingly ordinary friends are not as helpless as they appear. Some are hiding secrets of their own. As fear spreads and loyalties crack, a web of lies and hidden identities begins to unravel—until no one knows who is playing what role, or who can be trusted.

Director's Statement

Democracy must be defended every day and is more than a mark on a ballot. The home-invasion thriller Heads Up reflects the political tensions and turmoil of our time. Fear and insecurity create fertile ground for right-wing populism and polarization, which in turn provoke increasingly radical responses from the left. This cycle of escalation forms the emotional backbone of the film. Beneath the suspense, Heads Up explores fanaticism, ideology, moral ambiguity, and the human desire for belonging. More than entertainment, the film invites reflection: how do our choices shape the world around us? It offers no easy answers—only questions.

Category: Feature, Thriller, Award Winner.
