After a decade of use, school districts generally retire their big yellow school buses. Auctioned to eager buyers, many buses travel long distances and dangerous roads to reach Guatemala. Enthusiastically greeted and groomed in their new home, they are also exposed to the violence that bus drivers and passengers face in their daily lives.
