Director's Statement
Le Canard is a film about the personal struggle and acceptance of my grandmother who recently passed away. After leaving me one of her favourite recipes, I felt the need to create a film about the importance and symbolism in a family recipe. Thus, I appropriated this personal anecdote to the French culture that surrounds me in Paris. In hopes to portray an emotional and intriguing story through food that represents much more than a few calories.
