Anna wakes before her alarm and milks the cows. As they graze, her phone rings - her daughters are late for school again. In the kitchen, a voice note from her husband Brian urges her to return to Dublin. Then Oliver, a feed salesman, arrives with news of her father's unpaid debt. The dream of life on the farm unravels. Anna calls Brian. The cows must be sold. It's the end of an era - but also the start of something new.

Director's Statement

When I read this script I was immediately drawn to Anna - a woman navigating grief and responsibility after her father's sudden death. Set on a dairy farm in Co. Longford, in the midlands of Ireland the film captures the quiet resilience of women in farming families. With minimal dialogue and a handheld, observational style, it offers an intimate portrait of Anna's day: mourning, milking cows, and caring for her daughters. The rural setting grounds the story in authenticity, resonating deeply with Irish audiences while offering international viewers a moving glimpse into contemporary Irish life. It's is a universal story of resiliance.
