Director's Statement

Filmmaking is a powerful platform for me to tell human stories. As an Iranian American queer immigrant filmmaker, I have been always interested in exploring identity and cinema is a wonderful media for me to be a voice of a community, specifically a queer community, whose their stories need to be told more than ever. Arman is about the struggle of coming out to your loved ones and finding your voice as an immigrant. It explores themes like identity and the sense of belonging; how one would feel isolated and an outsider to the place they moved

Category: Drama, Short.
Themes: LGBTQIA, Relationships.
