When a wounded rebel accidentally takes refuge in the home of a tribal villager, both the men's lives spiral into a tense interplay of politics and forbidden love.
Director's Statement
Tribal lands and resources are the physical, cultural, and spiritual foundations of Indigenous people, central to their identities and futures. Displacement, broken treaties, and resource exploitation have oppressed communities and severed their connection to the land. In these struggles, love unites, offering strength, resilience, and hope. Love, beyond gender and sexuality, fosters solidarity, healing, and belonging. My Comrade explores this love amid socio-political turmoil, amplifying voices and stories that highlight the power of love and community in the face of adversity.
