Tarantula Land
Andrew Motte
United States, 2025, 4 min.
This film is family friendly.
A Texas brown tarantula navigates its changing landscape through touch and vibration in the grasslands of southern Colorado.
Director's Statement
The tarantula is often portrayed as a towering, brutal, unthinking beast. In reality, this could not be farther from the truth. These animals are slow, shy, and methodical, relying on millions of years of evolution to protect them from harsh and unforgiving terrain. This film is a showcase of the tarantula in all of its hairy, ancient glory.
