Director's Statement

What is it like to look back at a person who is no longer you? Does growing up mean abandoning our old selves? For gender-queer individuals, these are questions we often wonder. The Inbetween is a personal reflection of how it feels to grow into oneself. Some believe that "in-between" spaces are where our worlds begin to blend. Ray is on the border of identities, of life and death, of childhood and adulthood. He is in-between one stage of life and onto the next. Regardless of identity, we all constantly live in states of "in-between," and that is perfectly okay.
