German photographer Magdalena Hausen crosses post-war political history of Europe in her quest to make a photograph of the wind. An experimental film about identity and the inner workings of memory.
Director's Statement
The film is inspired by my experience between Greece and Germany, two countries that shaped my generation. Growing up during Greece’s economic crisis and later working in German artistic contexts, I felt both tension and connection. This duality informs the film: the weight of political decisions on everyday life, but also the power of cultural exchange. The contrast between North and South, austerity and resistance, structure and vulnerability forms its emotional core. The heroine’s journey reflects my own search for identity and belonging within broader political forces.
