Recipient is a documentary short shadowing the process of a living donor offering a kidney to save his friend's life. Robert Linden was an aspiring actor when the long-term effects of type-1 diabetes causes his kidneys to shut down. Upon seeing his condition worsen, Robert sends out an online message to his friends, hoping for one last chance at life: a matching kidney. Edgar Ybarra, a close friend, reads the post and begins the procedure to become a living donor with the hopes of helping Robert get back to his former quality of life.

This film dives into a conversation about the deepness of our commitments to ensure the safety and quality of life for those we care about.
