Director's Statement
Hey Pinky is a mockumentary inspired by shared experiences within the film industry. The eccentric characters that exist and the unusual lengths people move towards in the name of art. Ultimately it’s born out of a love of absurdist comedy and an examination of creativity and pomposity. Most importantly though we wanted to tell this story through the eyes of characters that were in equal parts identifiable, lovable and cringe inducing.
