Director's Statement
I wanted to make a horror-thriller with a compelling story infused with relatable themes of today; debt, displacement, generational trauma, mental illness, and survival. An emotional roller-coaster ride about a woman haunted by spirits from the past, and her own demons. A unique perspective from a flawed character, that challenges our own worries and identity in an abrupt, gutsy, thought-provoking, unsettling manner. With attention to the phone calls as they go from disjointed to honest to psychosis. Revealing to the audience the characters motivation and desperation down a twisted scavenger hunt, as it pulls the rug out from under them.
